1. Using our website

You agree to give accurate information when you fill out forms or book online. Our site content, including photos, text, and our riding curriculum, belongs to AME. Please don't copy it without permission.

2. Programs and scheduling

  • Riders are placed in lesson groups based on level, safety, and readiness.

  • Group lessons are 60 minutes. We don't offer standalone private lessons.

  • The program runs year-round, with about 8 weeks of scheduled closures that are posted on our yearly calendar.

3. Cancellations and makeups

  • Lessons must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Each rider may receive up to 8 makeups per year (4 excused with notice, 4 sick days without notice). Makeups must be used within the month they were missed and depend on availability.

  • We don't give credits or rollovers for unused lessons.

  • When weather prevents riding, we hold unmounted lessons instead, and those can't be made up. For severe weather closures, we follow local school closure guidance.

4. Fees and payments

  • Annual registration fee: $100 per student (with an approved helmet), or $225 for new students who need us to measure and order a helmet. It's charged at enrollment and every year after.

  • Tuition: AME runs on a 12-month tuition cycle. The monthly rate stays the same no matter how many weeks are in a month. Tuition is due on your enrollment date and recurs on the same day each month. Please keep your payment information up to date.

  • Late fee: A $25 late fee applies 48 hours after an invoice's due date.

  • Discounts: 5% off with annual payment, or 3% off with two bi-annual payments.

  • Add-ons: Add-ons, such as an additional lesson for $60, are billed to the card on file.

5. Refunds

Tuition has no refunds, rollovers, or prorated credits. Students are responsible for tuition whether they attend or not. Refund terms for camps, clinics, events, and other one-time purchases:.

6. Withdrawal

AME runs in terms (Winter: September–January; Spring: February–May; Summer: June–August). To cancel, please email us:

  • Before May 1 to avoid Summer term charges

  • Before August 1 to avoid Fall/Winter term charges

  • Before January 1 to avoid Spring term charges

If you don't let us know, you're committed for the upcoming term. Re-enrolling later requires a new registration and agreement to the current terms.

7. Rider expectations and attire

Riders arrive 10 minutes early, dressed and ready to ride, in breeches or jodhpurs, paddock or tall boots, and an ASTM/SEI-certified helmet. Riders also need a protein-based snack before every ride and a respectful, coachable attitude. Parents are welcome to watch but may not enter the arena or tacking areas.

8. Photos, video, and social media

By taking part in AME programs, you allow AME to photograph or film activities for educational, promotional, and advertising use. Please don't post lesson photos or videos without prior approval. Bring concerns to us directly through text, call, or email, not social media. AME may ask you to remove content that misrepresents the program.

9. No guaranteed results

Riding progress depends largely on attendance, effort, and attitude. AME doesn't guarantee specific outcomes or show results.

10. Assumption of risk and release of liability

Horseback riding and equestrian activities carry real risks. By signing our agreement, you acknowledge those risks and release Ashley Mason, Ashley Mason Equestrian, and any affiliated staff from liability for injury or loss, including due to negligence.

11. Abandoned equipment

Any gear left more than 30 days without written instructions is considered donated to the program.

12. Text messages

If you opt in, we'll text you about scheduling and lessons, and also marketing messages if you choose them. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

13. Changes

We may update these terms as the program grows. We'll post updates here and email them to clients.
