Whether you’re stepping into the show ring for the very first time or getting serious about rated-level goals, the AME show team is here to support your next step. As a current member of our program, you’ve already laid the groundwork—your riding, your horsemanship, your understanding of what it means to be prepared and present at the barn. Now, it might be time to take that growth into the ring.
For our newer riders or those just starting to think about showing, we offer a gentle, well-supported introduction to the world of horse shows. We’ll help you pick the right classes, match you with the right horse, and guide you through every detail—from braiding and packing to riding your first course. You won’t be on your own, and we’ll never rush the process. The goal is to help you build confidence and feel proud of what you’ve accomplished—regardless of what place you take home.
For riders who are already showing or looking to step into rated divisions, our program is designed to meet you where you are and elevate your experience. We offer thoughtful class selection, coaching strategies that align with your goals, and access to horses who are experienced and ready to help you shine. You’ll also benefit from a team of fellow riders and families who understand what it means to work hard and ride with heart.
Because you’re already part of the AME family, you know how much we care about doing things the right way—with structure, kindness, and purpose. Our show program is just an extension of that: professional, positive, and built around helping you grow as a rider—and as a person.
Let’s take everything you’ve learned in lessons and put it to work in the ring. We’ll be there to cheer you on the whole way.

At AME, showing horses isn’t about chasing ribbons—it’s about learning how to prepare, perform, and persevere with a great attitude. We’ve designed our
hunter/jumper show program
to help each rider feel safe, capable, and proud—whether it’s their first walk-trot class or their first medal final.
When you show with us, you can expect:
Personalized coaching before and during the show
Use of a safe, seasoned show horse (if not riding your own)
A clear plan for what to expect—no guesswork or surprises
A team atmosphere that encourages and uplifts
Local schooling shows, hunter jumper shows in Nebraska, and select rated competitions
We believe the best competitors are built on a foundation of preparation, partnership, and positivity.
We participate in a variety of horse shows throughout Nebraska and the Midwest. Each show offers something different—and we’ll help you choose the ones that match your experience and goals.
Types of shows we attend:
In-Barn Schooling Shows – Perfect for first-timers or anyone wanting to build confidence in a low-pressure environment. These fun, structured days give riders a taste of competition while staying close to home.
Local OMAHA Schooling Shows – We regularly attend shows throughout Omaha and the surrounding areas that offer a wide range of classes—from walk-trot poles to 3’+ jumpers. These are ideal for developing consistency and gaining valuable ring experience.
USEF/USHJA Rated Hunter Jumper Shows – For riders ready to step into the rated world, we attend select recognized hunter/jumper shows in the region. These events are professionally run and offer riders a chance to test their skills on a bigger stage—with the full support of the AME team behind them.

Our goal is to make horse showing simple, fun, and educational—for both riders and families.
