From Camp to Saddle: What comes next?

For many riders, camp is just the beginning.

After spending a week riding, caring for horses, and learning horsemanship skills, many campers discover they want to keep riding long after camp ends. It’s common for camp riders to continue their journey in our year-round lesson program, where they build on the confidence and skills they gained during camp.

Students in our program progress through the Levels of Horsemastership, a 10-level curriculum hand-created by founder and Program Director Ashley Mason. Similar to karate belt levels, this structured program helps riders develop measurable skills across five pillars: Riding, Knowledge, Horsemanship, Tack and Tacking, and Stable Management.

Camp is often the first step in a long and rewarding horsemanship journey. Interested in lessons sooner? Let's start with a barn tour!

Do campers need previous experience?

No. We welcome brand-new riders through confident beginners and beyond. We group by age and experience, start with a safety briefing and horse-handling basics, and match riders to appropriate school horses.
