Book your Lessons
All lessons must be booked 24 hours in advance. We offer riding lessons 7 days a week with limited availability each day.
Please remember:
- All members must maintain a consistent weekly schedule.
- Makeups are subject to availability and must be made up with-in the month that they were missed.
- Cancellations require 24-hour notice.
Levels of Horsmastership
Welcome to your pathway toward becoming a confident, capable, and connected horseman. At Ashley Mason Equestrian, our Levels of Horsemastership are designed to give every student a clear roadmap—whether you’re just beginning your horsemanship journey or you’re ready to refine advanced skills.
Each level builds intentionally on the last, blending safety, communication, groundwork, riding skills, and emotional awareness. Your progress is guided by hands-on instruction, individualized feedback, and real-world application with our trusted equine partners.

Your journey is not timed; it’s tailored. Every student advances at their own pace, guided by consistency, curiosity, and connection.
2025 Lesson Policies
To keep things running smoothly, please review the following:
- Arrival Time: Arrive 15-20 minutes before your lesson to groom and tack up unless otherwise directed.
- No-Shows & Late Arrivals: If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, you may forfeit your ride. No-shows will be charged as a lesson.
- Weather Policy: We ride rain or shine! If it's unsafe (lightning or extreme temps), horsemanship classes may be held indoors instead.
- Horse Assignments: Horses are matched based on rider ability and goals. Please trust our staff’s selection each day.
- Photography & Phones: Please ask before taking photos. Riders and junior helpers are not permitted to use phones during lessons or barn duty.

Proper Lesson Attire:
Proper attire helps keep everyone safe and confident in the saddle:
Required Attire:
ASTM/SEI Certified Riding Helmet
Breeches or Jodhpurs
Paddock Boots or Tall Boots (no tennis shoes)
Fitted Shirt (no crop tops or loose hoodies)
Recommended:
Gloves
Hair neatly tied back
Layers appropriate for the season
Riders who arrive without proper attire may not be permitted to ride.

Whether you’re stepping into the ring for the first time or polishing your performance as a seasoned competitor, AME provides a supportive, educational, and empowering show experience.
Who Can Show with AME?
Any active AME member who demonstrates safe handling, consistent horsemanship, and readiness at their current level is welcome to participate. We support riders across multiple skill levels and offer opportunities with both lesson horses and lease/owned horses.
You don’t need previous show experience—just curiosity, commitment, and a willingness to try something new.
