No prior horse experience is required to attend Pony Day Camp at Ashley Mason Equestrian. Many of our campers are meeting ponies for the very first time!
Our instructors guide campers step-by-step through the basics of horsemanship, including how to safely groom, lead, and interact with ponies. Riding activities are designed to be beginner-friendly, allowing children to build confidence while learning in a safe and supportive environment.
Whether your child is brand new to horses or already loves ponies, Pony Day Camp is designed to be a welcoming and positive introduction to life at the barn. 🐴💛

Each Pony Day Camp is designed to give campers a fun, engaging, and educational day at the barn. While activities may vary slightly, a typical day includes a mix of hands-on learning, riding, and barn fun.
Campers will spend the day:
- Meeting the ponies and learning safe behavior around the barn
- Grooming and helping get their pony ready to ride
- Participating in a beginner-friendly riding lesson
- Learning basic pony care and horsemanship skills
- Playing pony-themed games and enjoying barn activities
- Spending time building confidence and making new friends
Our goal is to create a balanced day of learning, riding, and fun, where campers leave feeling proud of what they learned and excited to come back to the barn.

To help your camper have a comfortable and enjoyable day at the barn, please send them with the following:
- A packed lunch
- Boots with a small heel (required for riding — sneakers or tennis shoes are not allowed)
- Comfortable clothes for riding and being outdoors (Long pants are required. Those in shorts or capris will not be allowed to ride)
- Weather-appropriate layers such as a jacket, sweatshirt, or sun hat
- A water bottle
Helmets are provided by Ashley Mason Equestrian, and all riding activities are supervised by our instructors.
We recommend sending campers in clothes that can get a little dusty—after all, a great day at the barn usually includes a bit of pony hair! 🐴

Because we keep Pony Day Camp groups small to ensure a safe and high-quality experience for every child, space is limited and camps often fill quickly—especially on school-closed days.
We recommend registering early to secure your camper’s spot. Once a camp date is full, additional campers will be placed on a waitlist if space becomes available. 🐴
