Starting your journey with this membership ensures that you and your horse begin on the right foot—literally! Individual lessons give you the time and attention needed to learn proper techniques safely and effectively. It’s also the best way to get acquainted with our teaching style, our beautiful facilities, and our amazing lesson horses, who are known for their gentle and willing temperaments.
This program helps new riders gain a deep appreciation for the horse as a partner, not just a ride. You’ll learn how to think like a horseman, understand equine behavior, and communicate with empathy—all skills that will serve you for a lifetime, both in and out of the saddle.

Your Introductory Membership is more than just an introduction—it’s your first step into a welcoming community that celebrates growth, connection, and the joy of learning with horses. Whether you dream of trail riding, showing, or simply developing a lifelong love for horses, we’re here to guide you every step of the way.
Book a quick barn tour at https://bit.ly/AMEBarnTour or schedule an intro lesson to meet the team, see the facility, and talk goals. We’ll cover safety, rider level, attire, scheduling, and budget, then outline next steps—single lessons, memberships, camps/clinics, or leasing.

We welcome kids, teens, and adults from true beginners to advanced riders. New riders start with an intro/assessment so we can place you in the right program and horse.

Wear an ASTM/SEI-certified riding helmet, boots with a small heel, and long pants (breeches, jods, snug jeans/leggings). Tops should be fitted; avoid loose clothing or dangling jewelry. Tie long hair back, bring water, and dress for the weather. If you don’t have a helmet yet, ask about short-term loaners.

No—our school horses are available for lessons. If you want extra saddle time, approved riders can lease: a half lease adds several additional rides each week while the horse still teaches, and a full lease offers near-exclusive access for practice, clinics, and shows. Availability is limited—ask your coach for current openings and requirements.
