In-barn shows offer a familiar setting, which helps reduce nerves and anxiety.
This creates the perfect opportunity for riders to build confidence before venturing into off-site or rated competitions.
In-barn shows are much more budget-friendly than rated or open shows. Families avoid costs like trailering, stabling, and expensive entry fees, making the experience accessible to more riders.
With no need to travel, in-barn shows save both time and money. Parents especially appreciate the ease, especially if they’re new to the horse show scene.

These shows give riders the chance to practice show etiquette, memorize courses, and ride under pressure.
They also foster sportsmanship and teamwork in a supportive atmosphere.
Barn shows are perfect for letting horses get used to new places, sights, and sounds. They can:
- Learn to focus away from home
- Build confidence in new environments
- Gain show-ring experience without the pressure
Coaching fees are a daily charge that covers hands-on support and expert guidance to help riders succeed at the show. This includes course walks, warm-ups, and ringside coaching to ensure each rider feels confident, prepared, and supported every step of the way.

The lesson horse lease fee is a per-day charge for the exclusive use of an AME-owned horse at a show. This fee covers the use of the horse for all entered classes that day and reflects the value of riding a well-trained, show-ready partner. It does not include coaching or class entries those are billed separately.
Class fees are the cost to enter each individual class at the horse show. These fees are paid to the show organization and allow the rider to compete in specific classes throughout the event. Each class entered will have its own fee, separate from coaching or other service charges. These fees will be paid at the end of the show.
